Nemours is seeking a Director, Physical Security (Full-Time) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.At Nemours, each Associate plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of world-class pediatric care to the children we serve. The team based at our home office in Jacksonville, Fla. provides essential administrative, financial and technical support to Nemours operations across all locations. This position will build and direct the strategic development, implementation, and administration of policies, practices, and procedures to allow for the physical security of Nemours associates, providers, patients and families and critical infrastructure. This will include the delivery of services to insure compliance with applicable federal, state and local law enforcement as well as healthcare regulatory requirements. This position will work with Leadership and Security Operations to coordinate, integrate, and implement Nemours Corporate Security strategy and local physical requirements. Direction and oversight of an enterprise change management system will ensure all security device product, function and operational changes are properly coordinated as well as any new items are vetted prior to implementation. This work should be closely aligned with related departments to insure Physical Security Systems are properly integrated with the Nemours electronic and technical environments. - Develop and maintain Nemours Enterprise wide Physical Security Policies and Procedures.
- Develop, implement and administer the corporate Nemours Physical Security Program.
- Evaluates on an ongoing basis all Physical Security-related methodologies, procedures, and systems to ensure adherence to law enforcement and regulatory compliance.
- Prepares and delivers group presentations to create and promote awareness of and individual responsibility for the security of Nemours personnel, patients and families, facilities and other assets.
- Support Enterprise Leadership with Corporate and Local Security needs incorporating Hospital and Ambulatory physical security aspects
- Identify strategic security vendors, consultant, integrator as trusted partners for support of current physical security and electronic security systems
- Submit timely repair, replacement and maintenance budgets to the designated management team.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of all physical, and electronic security systems and sub-systems to the designated management team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery and operations.
Job Requirements - Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of five (5) + years experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) + years of successful business experience and demonstrated expertise in working for a large health system desired.
Law enforcement training and experience required. Security Management, Risk and/or criminal justice experience required. Additional experience in law enforcement and physical security, and Information Technology applications. Factory training with advanced Enterprise Level security management systems and video management systems desired.
