Clinical Supervisor will supervise the day to day operation of the San Juan general Primary Care Clinics and Women's Health Clinic. Will be the direct supervisor of the Primary Care Providers in San Juan and determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Will act as liaison between the San Juan Primary Care Clinic and support services. The Clinical Supervisor responsible for the quality monitoring and outcomes of the performance measures for our service at the San Juan Primary Care Clinic and. Assist the ACOS of PCS in administrative duties such as staffing planning, committees and special assignments, and will cover for the ACOS as assigned. They will assist the Primary Care Service with quality management activities. As Staff physician, the primary objective is to provide long-term patient-provider relationships, coordinate care across a spectrum of health services, educate, and offer disease prevention programs for ambulatory patients. This will include stabilization and referral of those who require a different level of care. Incumbent will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment, including preventive care of a panel of patients assigned under his/her care and functions as part of a multidisciplinary team. This includes referral to a different level of care, when services needed are outside the scope of the clinic. Clinical Supervisor Duties Included but Not Limited to: The Clinical Supervisor should hold self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Complies with established control systems and rules. Deals effectively with pressure; remains optimistic and persistent, even under adversity. Responsible for quality monitors, performance improvement measures and accrediting organisms, reviewing and interpreting ambulatory standards applicable to the clinic. Addresses the majority of health care needs for assigned patients as outlined on the granted clinical privileges. Responsible for the evaluation and treatment, including preventive care of a panel of patients and other patients assigned, and functions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Follows established clinical guidelines and service agreements, when applicable, according to the patients' needs. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Hears and resolves complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager. Initiates minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, recommending other action in more serious cases. Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training. Interviews candidates for positions in the service; recommends appointment, promotion or reassignment to such positions. Displays a caring, helpful attitude and a willingness to be of assistance in resolving issues of concern. Establish rapport with patients, establish a patient??centered environment, be respectful of individual differences and preferences, and encourage shared decision making. Using the proper language and tone of voice, is courteous treating patients and those with whom she/he regularly interacts in carrying out job assignments. Shows a true commitment to patient centered care and the medical center. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with rotating tours of duty as needed.
