The User Provisioning Analyst provides access control for all supported applications including but not limited to: Maestro Care – EMP & SER, Clinical applications, business applications: AD, PIN, email, etc.
Will be working closely with Maestro Care SER/EMP team and other Maestro Care Security Team members, Clinical Systems Support Teams and OIT. The User Provisioning Analyst is a contributing member of the Maestro Care Security team and overall Maestro Care project team. The User Provisioning Analyst is responsible for maintaining user, security classes, profile, activities, menus, roles, workspaces and other security related master files. The analyst must understand how applications integrate and how multiple applications use the same settings.
The employee hired for this position is not required to obtain Epic certification. Certification is preferred, but not required. Proficiency can be provided.
SER/EMP Provisioning Group Manager and/or one of the Team Leads in the group.
Responsible for building, analyzing, and implementing Security for all supported applications.
Assists with the user access process including the setup and maintenance of accounts
Provides support with the development and implementation of security controls for the Supported applications
Assists with the configuration of auditing and creation of reports in association with auditing
Assists the team in gathering requirements, troubleshooting, and alternative solutions to existing workflows and technical issues
During Go-Lives, this position is responsible for ensuring accounts are provisioned in a timely manner in production
Prepares and updates documentation as the Security build changes throughout the project
Position is also required to participate in an on-call rotation, and will be responsible for responding to and resolving security related issues during their on-call rotation
Responsible for ensuring the team meets or exceeds established metrics.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or other related field or equivalent experience
College degree/training; Epic proficiency preferred but not required.
Experience in Network or Systems Security, Information Security Management, Financial applications development and management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced computer skills, good written and oral communication skills, training in business functions and in systems analysis and design
Microsoft office suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good workflow analysis and business process integration skills
Multi-platform and networking experience or education
Experience working within an ITIL based Change Management environment or IT support service
Minimum of one (1) year experience in Healthcare
Duke Health System experience
Ability to work as a member of a team and independently without supervision
Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills and troubleshooting/analytical skills
Excellent analytical, organizational and process disciplines
Well-developed time management skills and the ability to work rapidly without a loss of quality
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English

Understanding of healthcare business processes
