Your day.

As an Advanced Surgical Services Tech / CST you need to know how to:

• Maintain all surgical services areas as assigned in an aseptic and clean condition in accordance with hospital safety and infection control guidelines.


• Perform endoscopic procedures as the Endoscopy Technician and perform decontamination and reprocessing of endoscopes.


• Maintain competencies as a Surgical Technician and will be able to perform Technician duties (as described by AST) in all SJB surgeries.


• Provide intra-operative/procedural teamwork with physicians, nurses and assistants in the Surgical Services Department.


• Process, store, distribute and monitor, instrumentation, equipment and patient care items by performing the following duties.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program, required


• Certified Surgical Technologist Certification, required


• Certification as a SPD Technician within three (3) years of hire, required


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire


• At least one (1) year of Surgical Technician experience in a surgical hospital or outpatient surgery center, preferred
