Position Summary: Mgr Specialty Pharmacy The Manager of Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for the continued development and expansion of the MultiCare Specialty Pharmacy program. This position will act as a liaison between the specialty pharmacy and key stakeholders, building strong relationships with MHS physicians, leaders and employees as well as contacts outside of MultiCare, including external physicians, pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulatory and accreditation agencies, competing organizations, vendors and professional organizations. The manager will evaluate potential contracts, assist with negotiating access to limited distribution drugs and restricted payer networks, review current business arrangements and the financial impact on the organization, and continuously evaluate the marketplace to ensure MultiCare's Specialty Pharmacy Service is well-positioned for success. The manager is responsible for achievement and maintenance of specialty pharmacy accreditation and will work in conjunction with key pharmacy stakeholders in the development of strong clinical programs and operations that support all aspects of specialty pharmacy.. This position will partner with stakeholders to develop workflows, resources, and promotional materials that support specialty pharmacy services. The position reports to the Director - Retail Pharmacy Services. Minimum Requirements:Current Washington State Pharmacist License. Specialty Pharmacist certification required.Successful completion of an Accredited ASHP Pharmacy Residency Program preferredBCACP preferredFive (5) years of pharmacy related experience Three (3) years of management experience.
