Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:
Laboratory Medicine Consultants (LMC Pathology Services, A Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice) is recruiting for an AP/CP Pathologist with fellowship training in Genitourinary Pathology. We are seeking candidates interested in a dynamic, multi-specialty pathology practice serving both inpatient and outpatient clients. Our practice is hospital-based. The successful candidate will work alongside one or more senior pathologists in one of the ten Las Vegas hospital served by our group. Sign-out responsibilities will include a diverse mix of inpatient hospital cases and an allocation of outpatient cases.
The candidate must be AP/CP Board Certified, preferably with completion of subspecialty fellowship training in genitourinary pathology; candidates who lack GU fellowship training but have several years of experience signing out high volume GU cases will also be considered. LMC pathologists are committed to providing outstanding service in all aspects of community-based clinical and anatomic pathology; therefore, flexibility and strong training is necessary. Candidates must be permanent US residents, have excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with clinicians, administrators and laboratory staff. The successful candidate should be able to work in a hospital-based setting, and have the ability to work independently.
This full-time position is an integral part of LMC Pathology Services in Las Vegas, Nevada. LMC is a multi-specialty/multi-state group of 24 pathologists, providing Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine services to multiple hospitals, surgery centers and outpatient facilities in Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona.
