IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians is hiring! We are seeking a team-oriented Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated Inpatient Cardiology team at IU HealthBloomington Hospital!
Position Details:
Full-time, Night Shift
7:00pm-7:00am
7 on 7 off schedule
100% inpatient
No call
General, adult cardiology
Team includes 12 physicians and 6 APPs
Expected patient volume: 25-35/week in hospital
Responsibilities:
New and follow up inpatient visits collaborating with on call cardiologist.
Provider will serve as proxy for patient results and messages.
Provider will be highly engaged with inpatient nursing and hospitalist teams.
No procedural requirements
APP provides care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population in the inpatient clinical setting. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skills in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical and psychosocial assessment, and management of health and illness in the health care of individuals.
Qualifications:
Master's degree required
Must hold either ACNP, AGACNP, or PA board certification
New graduates will have 3 months from time of graduation to obtain board certification
If new graduate, minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Cardiology, ICU or CVICU required
Cardiology experience preferred
