We are seeking a Health Center Adminstrator in our Dawson Hall located in Chapel Hill, NC to provide overall administrative and clinical direction, oversight for policies and procedures, and programs of a complex, multi-disciplinary adult ambulatory clinic/practice.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure successful day-to-day clinical operations and delivery of care at Duke Dermatology.
Provide direction and coordination in the development and administration of policies, procedures and programs.
Establish schedules, task assignments and allocation of staff, space and equipment.
Set and meet financial goals: determine fiscal requirements, make projections and prepare the budget; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds; prepare financial statements reflecting status of programs and activities; ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate clinic/practice business, accomplish directives, and facilitate resolutions.
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Meet regularly with staff to keep them informed of established practices, processes, policies, and any changes.
Represent the assigned Health Center in meetings/conferences and maintenance activities within ambulatory clinical operations. Assume accountability for achievement of balanced scorecard targets, including patient satisfaction.
Direct and coordinate various personnel functions including, but not limited to: hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
Strive to satisfy all federal and state laws/mandates as well as adherence to Joint Commission standards.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
Work requires 3 years of related administrative or clinic/practice management experience to acquire competence in applying general operational practices, personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of clinic administrative functions.
Master's in Healthcare Administration preferred. Will consider Bachelor's degree in a business or healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Job Hours:
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
