We are currently seeking a board-certified physician in Pediatric Cardiology to join our growing practice in Raleigh, NC.  Our team currently consists of 4 physicians who equally share call responsibilities on a weekly rotation.  Our practice is primarily outpatient-based rotating weekly amongst various ambulatory clinic sites in the greater Raleigh area and providing inpatient consultation to the children's hospital, which includes the general pediatric ward, NICU, PICU, and pediatric emergency room.  Required skills include reading pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms and interpreting pediatric electrocardiograms and ambulatory ECG monitoring.  Additional competencies in fetal echocardiography and basic treadmill pediatric stress testing is preferred.  Call responsibilities include weekly home call on a 1:4 basis, shared equally among all providers.  We also provide clinical teaching opportunities with rotating third- and fourth-year medical students in our clinics and didactic lectures to medical students and pediatric residents on a regular basis. Qualified candidates must be board-certified.

The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APPs within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
